01Old Pennsylvania houses are our everyday work

Old Pennsylvania houses are our everyday work

Pennsylvania has some of the oldest housing in the country, and both our cities show it: cast-iron stacks, clay sewer laterals, galvanized supply lines, boilers older than the people living with them. We don't treat any of that as a surprise. We plan for it.

In Pittsburgh

Brick homes stacked up steep hillsides, long sewer laterals running downhill under yards and sidewalks, and freeze-thaw winters that crack old clay pipe. More on Pittsburgh

In Philadelphia

Rowhouses with shared walls, narrow basement stairs, house traps under the basement floor, and cast-iron drain lines that have been in service for generations. More on Philadelphia

03How every job runs

How every job runs

  1. 01

    Call your city's line

A dispatcher in your city picks up, asks a few questions, and tells you the trip and diagnostic fee before anyone heads out.

  2. 02

Get an arrival window, then a text

You get a two-hour window. When your tech is on the way, you get a text with their name and photo.

  3. 03

See the problem, then the price

We show you what we found, on camera if it's a drain or sewer line, and give you a flat-rate price. You decide before we start.

  4. 04

    Clean finish

Drop cloths down, work area cleaned up, old parts hauled away. We stand behind our work. If something we fixed isn't right, call us and we'll come back and make it right.

04Care Plan

Keystone Care Plan

One plan for the whole house, plumbing and HVAC together.

  • Annual heating tune-up (furnace or boiler) in the fall
  • Annual AC tune-up in the spring
  • Water heater flush and anode check
  • Whole-house plumbing check: shutoff valves, supply lines, sump pump, visible leaks
  • Priority scheduling in both cities and member pricing on repairs

"Basement drain backed up after a storm. Joe ran a camera, showed me the roots in the clay lateral under the front steps, and explained the options without pushing the most expensive one."

"They got a new water heater down our rowhouse basement stairs, which I honestly didn't think could be done. Clean job, and they hauled the old one out."
Sample reviewAndre D., Point Breeze (Philadelphia)
"Our steam boiler hadn't been serviced in years. They cleaned the low-water cutoff, fixed the banging, and wrote down everything they did."
Sample reviewRachel S., Squirrel Hill (Pittsburgh)
"Ductless install in our Fishtown rowhouse. Neat line set run up the back wall, and the second floor is finally livable in July."

06Common questions

Common questions

Q01Is the Pittsburgh crew different from the Philadelphia crew?

Yes. Each city has its own techs, trucks and dispatcher who live and work locally. You'll never get a Philadelphia tech driving across the state for a Pittsburgh call. What's shared is how we work: the same pricing approach, the same training, the same paperwork, and the same promise to come back if a repair isn't right.

Q02Do you do both plumbing and HVAC?

Yes. Our crews handle plumbing, drains and sewer lines, water heaters, furnaces, boilers and air conditioning. That helps in older homes where problems overlap, like a water heater and furnace sharing one chimney, or a condensate line that drains into a floor drain that's already slow. One visit can sort out both.

Q03How do I know what it will cost?

Call your city's line and we'll tell you the trip and diagnostic fee before we schedule. Once the tech finds the problem, you get a flat-rate price for the fix and decide whether to go ahead. Bigger jobs like sewer lateral replacements and new systems get a written quote.
